Dave

To check a query whilst it is running use Teradata Manager, PMON or (if you're on TD 12) you can use the MonitorSession command. These will show you if the query is doing anything (increasing cpu, io's etc and changing spool space).

How many cpusecs or I/O indicates a query is not performing good ? Is there a upper limit ?

Can you elaborate more on this ?

(increasing cpu, io's etc and changing spool space).

It will remain constant if query is peforming good?

Thanks !!
