  A data definition statement (create, drop, alter etc) must be the last statement in a transaction.  


Correct me if I am wrong, I believe this is because macro is treated as a one complete transaction and if any action fails in the macro then all the previous actions are to be rolled back and DDL's have the auto commit feature. Guess we have a limit to use only one DDL in a macro due to same reason.
