A TPA node is a host/server in the client configuration on which the Teradata database environment is actively running...
A non-TPA node is a host/server that is part of the client configuration but does not run the Teradata database environment. And example might
be a dedicated ETL or data stating server. Such a platform usually will have Teradata client utilities or other Teradata specific software
components installed....
