Subj: | | Data access using views |
|
From: | | madhumitha.das |
Hey,
I am new to Teradata and just picking up the pace.
I read in the manuals that base views in Teradata can provide high-performance access to data. Can someone explain this in detail?
I'm aware of the fact that they act as data security layer, but what other major differences (like Spool, CPU, I/O usage, DML, Joins etc..etc)
when compared to accessing data via base tables?
Thanks - Madhu Das -:)
