Hi,

I need to store some XML in a Teradata table, which relates to an audit trail of changes against our Customer table and store history for 2 years (so it's not going to be small potatoes).

Other than "Don't do it!" what would you guys recommend ?

I'm assuming it would have to be stored in some sort of VARCHAR column.

I shudder to think at the amount of data it might take up, not to mention how we'll be able to report on it.

Any advise or experience (even bitter) would be appreciated.
