Craig, I will try to explain this concept. I am going to try and simplify terminology so as not to confuse anyone. You're fastload sessions will be distributed among the nics (ips defined in the cop entries) in a round robin fashion. Each session is then distributed to the PE's (parsing engines) based on availability/usage. A ip are mapped to HOSTS which can have many PE's. Therefore connections thru one ip can/will get assigned to different PE's if more than one PE is assigned to the HOST. HOSTS are often defined by type of connection: network and mainframe. It is possible to have multiple HOSTS for a type of connection. For instance, we have two network hosts. One is used strictly for Tactical queries. Warning: Do not define COPS to more than one host or you will have problems. I do not remember what errors occur but it has something to do with communication problems. Thanks, Bob Diehl
