Hi Dieter, Depending on value of data dictionary table column DBC.TVM.CHECKOPT to check if a table is set or multiset might be inconclusive since as you observed that it shows both Y & N for multiset tables alone. Value of N for a multiset table means that there is either a UPI or USI defined on the multiset table. If my memory server me right, Info about a table being set or multiset is stored in the table header & hence not retrievable via SQL query. Not sure if there are any new enhancements of late to Teradata Data Dictionary to check if a table is set or multiset. Other than querying the DD tables, You could scan the create table text to find out if a table is multiset. Regards, Sanjaya
