I mentioned on an earlier post about a phantom UDF to which Teradata documentation references called 'tdat'. I call it a phantom UDF, because
TD seems unable to locate the C code on which 'tdat' is based. 'tdat' is represented as a UDF that provides a remote view into another server,
albeit a TD remote server. Its functionality would be very similar to your inquiry below and one should be able to adapt it; locating it is
another matter. Please note that subsequent posts decry the use of any UDF on a TD server, esp. since C coders are at a premium on these sites, plus apparently
the behavior of UDF's is suspect at best.
