These messages mean that BTEQ got an interrupt from the operating system saying the file being created was too big (EFBIG). Possibly you have exceeded 2GB, although this limit is largely a thing of the past. Each user also has a limit (ulimit -f) on the size of files he is allowed to create. Check with your OS admin.
