| We are having two Teradata severs viz. Production & Development. We want to move some Big tables (one with 928831637 rows 182 GB
& other with 497 GB) from Production server to Development sever what will be the fast and safest option to do so. I have tried Teradata
Parallel Transport wizard (TWB GUI mode) but it takes more time and consumes more resources. | |
Before the wizard entered the scene the DBA folk used to accomplish the task with either the backup utility (back up on Prod - restore on Dev)
or setting up a pipe FastExport | FastLoad.
Since the data source in this case is a production system and you probably have it backed up on a regular basis anyway, the first method seems
less resource-intensive.
