We've just upgraded to Version 6.2 and started using new functions such as TOP n.

Can anyone offer any insight into how this function works when the ORDER BY by clause is not used?

It works much faster than sample but seems to return the same result each time so I assume this isn't random. Does it take a sample from a certain amp each time?
