Incompatibilities between recent versions of SQL Assistant and recent versions of DB2 Connect.
Be sure you are using at least SQL Assistant 7.2.0.1 (which has a relevant fix for the crash).
Also, we have been advised (by IBM) to set ASYNCENABLE=0 in DB2 Connect options to resolve the slowness.
