Hello,

As per new security policies in our organization, we are not suppose show IP address of servers to users. We are going to use DNS names only.

Teradata utilities (Bteq, Fastload, Fastexport, Multiload...) communicate to databases through CLI and CLI needs details about database server in host file. Can anybody tell me any work around for using DNS names? As we are not going to share IP address of database to user, there will not be any host entry for database in hosts files. In this case how we can use Teradata utilities?
