Subj:   MULTI VALUE COMPRESSION

From:   Gonela, Ram

Hi

I want to know whether there is any DBC view where I can see the no of values that are compressed against each COMPRESS VALUE that I define for table.

ExL I've defined MyDB.MyTable with following Column compressions:

MyDB.Mytable has Columns:

     QTR_CODE CHAR(6)
           COMPRESS ('Q01','Q02','Q03','Q04','NOVAL')

     REGN_CODE CHAR(6)
           COMPRESS ('ESTCST','CNTRL','WSTCST','MIDWST','OTHR','NOVAL')

Result I am interested to see:

DatabaseName TableName ColumnName CompressValue NoOfCompressions MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE Q01 232209 MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE Q02 100 MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE Q03 3434543 MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE Q04 343 MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE NOVAL 345345 MyDB MyTable QTR_CODE NULL 423434345 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE ESTCST 343 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE CNTRL 34345 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE WSTCST 67 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE CNTRL 6564564 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE MIDWST 5556 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE OTHR 67656 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE NOVAL 2323230 MyDB MyTable REGN_CODE NULL 212200000

Please let me know whether naybody can give me clue, how to obtain this information.

Thanks ,

Ram
