Hi - I have not found the answer of this question.I am having an issue that I have a column varchar(8) in one table and a column date in second table.

Whenever I am trying to insert into the second table using(insert into edw_work.vips1(doj) -date type format 'yy/mm/dd'

select cast(doj(varchar(8)) as date format 'yyyy-mm-dd' ) from edw_work.vips I gives error invalid date supplied to the table.Plz tell me the possible solution.
