It is simple, but no SQL, at least no Teradata SQL :-) It's ODBC SQL, just replace LENGTH with CHAR_LENGTH. The ODBC driver will parse the SQL and replace all ODBC SQL function calls with valid Teradata SQL. There's a section in the ODBC manual about supported ODBC SQL functions like LTRIM/LEFT. You're not supposed to use those, better replace it with valid Teradata SQL. If you don't want to get similar errors, just switch it off in QueryMan: Dieter
