  I'm looking for experiences/thoughts regarding SpJI, but approaches > using alternative indexing strategies are welcome.  


Bill, you listed a few tables on which potentially useful sparse joins could be defined but you did not tell us anything about the most frequent queries your users and/or applications run on those tables. Queries may or may not use JIs, so at the end of the day their usefulness will only be confirmed by specific tests on your own site.
