Here's a thought:

For a given attribute present on different tables, the compression values in the list may be identical, highly common, somewhat common, etc across the tables that hold the attribute. So, instead of walking each table with an occurrence of the attribute (to perform the MVC analysis), walk the "best" table and leverage that list (now available in DBC) for the MVC decision.

This type of analysis requires comparing the lists in DBC and judging what may be leveraged.

Alphabetically sorted lists would be easier to handle.
