Hi,
We have a situation where we need to extract data from a large number of tables using a series of MVS BTEQ jobs. The tables are in a large
database and we need to avoid any updates to any of the tables in the database during the extract. We need to take a READ lock on the whole
database before the extracts (which will run for about 2 hours) and the lock will be released at the end.
What is the best way to approach this. Has anyone done something similar?.
