I agree with Mark.

As a customer and a provider I'd be pretty upset if IT killed my query out of the blue.

You don't wnat to lose sight of why a Data Warehouse exists in the first place.

Maybe some time spent with your customers and identifying what they are doing and maybe why they still have queries running would be beneficial.
