Hi the Spool Space Errors might be not due to the stats collection. Stats Collection only enables the optimizer to select the most Cost efficient way of getting a solution . The Spool space error may be due to any one of the Following factors 1. Skewness. - once the Data gets into the spool , the Data might be skewed , and one of the amps might run out of the spool space , also the joins happening on non frequently used columns , or having highly non unique values might be a reason for skewness 2. more no of queries from same user - more no of queries being executed by the same user , using the same spool area , and thus giving the spool space error 3. unnecessary redistribution of data (check for the explain plan and eliminate them if possible ) Thanks Adurthy Sri krishna
