Subj:   Re: PMON data tables

From:   Meade, Cornelius

Sorry for the somewhat compressed earlier reply but I was rushed at the time....In thinking about your question I had a couple of additional thoughts.

You mention your need is "historical", well you are writing your own application code to access the PM-API, you can probably collect and archive what you want but that seems a lot of potential work. ResUsage data collects performance related metrics for Teradata and likely records/captures metrics to support your ultimate need. The time granularity of the ResUsage data is dependant on the collection rate setting, which is shown on at least one particular PMON display if memory servers me correctly. The amount of historical ResUsage data you may have access to is dependant on how your system admin may have chosen to that that up. Depending on what you need truly is, there is much more detail you'll need so check the archives for references to ResUsage as this type of question comes up periodically. And of course, if you have access, take a look at Teradata doc.....
