Subj:   How to grant permission to run dbw

From:   Anomy Anom

<-- Anonymously Posted: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 00:44 -->

I want a user to run /usr/ntos/bin/xdbw on MP-RAS. Currently only root can.

So I run it as root and up comes the DBW window and I click on Supr to start the supervisor window.

Where I enter in:

     grant user@UNIX_SV all

which it happily accepts, and then I exit.

When I then run xdbw as the user, the DBW window comes up but it says:

     CNS access denied: Illegal host.

I also tried

     grant user@SMP001-1 all

when logged in as root, but it didn't help either.

Note uname command returns "UNIX_SV". And "uname -n" returns "SMP001-1".

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong, have missed, or have the wrong end of the stick to?

Thanks
