Eric,
That's my point of my questions and what I'm trying to understand. It took you two weeks of your time (and what if you leave, can someone use
the same code?) and you saved $300K -- not a bad ROI for your efforts. How did you arrive at $300K savings? Why do you feel it's "money to burn"
by buying a tool when you saved your company this much using your own code? What if a "tool" could have saved you 40%, isn't that $600K by your
estimates-- and far better total $ savings even if it cost you $100K to purchase (just making the number up)? What is a staggering price in your
mind? What if it cost $50K and you saved $300K? Is this staggering? I'd love to understand your mindset, and others. Thanks.
Rob
