HUTLOCK is the persistent read lock used by ARC.

HUTPARSE and HUTCTL are special session types used by ARC.

ASE variables are not expanded for HUT sessions so you may be misinterpreting AMPUsage.

If you ask for 6 sessions, that means six HUTPARSE sessions to move the data plus you always get one HUTCTL to manage the locks and one DBC/SQL session (for checkpoint/log/etc?).
