Subj:   Re: Calling COM object in DOT NET

From:   John Schuster

After our conversations I found a few sites of interest

www.windowsdevcenter.com

This on is more about migrating from classic ASP pages to NET but it discusses the "Managed" NET objects over the "Unmanaged" COM objects

www.aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com

Got to meet these guys some day. The one discusses and show how to use the RunTime Callable Wrapper (RCW)

www.aspheute.com

German based site but a good explanation of the disassembly of the COM object

After reading this you will see use of a COM object in ASP.NET is not just as easy as add the reference and use it.

Does Teradata has a set of .NET objects to replace the COM objects? This would be a much easier route.
