Revoking the logon privilege only prevents any new sessions from being established. As I am sure you have discovered, this action does not
affect already in progress sessions.
There is significant information in the archives on various approaches to aborting sessions in a programmatic or process driven fashion as
this topic comes up relatively frequently (usually in relation to backups and/or data loads). Note that depending on your specific needs this can
be relatively simple or messy.
