When you upgraded to TMgr 7.1 did you run the 'Database Setup' application against the V2R5.1 system? There have probably been changes in some of the tables used so this step would be required. You should also use the 'Administer, Teradata Manager' menu in the Teradata Manager client app to make sure that monitoring is enabled for that system. Also use the Alert Policy Editor to retreive the current policy from that system and make sure it is set as you expect. If it still does not work try looking at the log file that the Teradata Manager service creates. There should be some information in this file: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NCR\Teradata Manager\tmgr.log And check the specific log for the system: < as above >...\Databases\ Mike Dempsey
