The DBS gets its time from the operating system. But you have to set the timezone. You can do this with the dbscontrol utility. Set general
field 16 (TimeZone Hour) to the desired value. For Pacific Daylight Time, that value would be -7.
It has been my experience that you have to restart the system in order for the change to take effect. Help on the field says otherwise, but
it's a lie.
