LOBs are not considered part of the row. The row just contians a 'pointer' to the LOB.

I dont know if the LOB itself is restricted by the regular 130K blocksize limit, and broken into multiple blocks if required, or if LOBs are handles 'outside' the normal Teradata file system blocks in order to reduce IOs. (That part can probably be answered by one of the DBS developers.)
