From:   Victor Sokovin

Flavio, while reading your original posting I did not realize that there was a problem with Bteq as well so I just easily booked it on the ODBC driver alone. Bteq cannot parse the query even when the calculation does not go into the previous day. The ODBC driver probably translates the request into something else (which works) but gets wrong results back. So, it looks like there are two problems, perhaps related?

Did you have a chance to scan the ODBC driver log to see what kind of SQL it sends to Teradata? This is perhaps the most serious part of the bug. Bteq fails so that would attract attention but the ODBC driver silently produces wrong results. I don't have time to investigate the ODBC part but the results you have already provided are sufficient to raise an alarm at NCR. I hope they will follow up on this soon.

Thanks for the warning!

Regards,

Victor
