No, NetBackup is using the information that you provide in the "Set DBMS Login parameters" During runtime the $LOGON (in the scr script) gets replaced dynamically with the provided information. This has the advantage that you can change the user id (and it's password) globally, without changing each and every script. If you want to deviate from this you can hardcode logon information in the arc scripts (scr) by replacing the LOGON $LOGON syntax with a regular logon command. Regards Ysbrand Ysbrand Bergman
