Hi Bill, You are correct. The Id which Informatica uses on the sever might have only WRITE access but not read access. This is a possible reason why it is failing. Exteral loaders from Infa work in this way, - Infa writes all the data into flat file (specified target file in Session properties of Workflow) - It then generates a .ctl file (MLOAD SCRIPT) - executes the .ctl file with Flat file as input to load the target tables. So In this process you are getting error at step 3 which means u r able to write but not read the flat file. Verify the access rights. Regards, Menta Srikanth
