Just out of curiousity, try turning SATTC off (from queryman, execute 'Diagnostic NoSATTC on for Session') then rerun the explain for the query
that selects all columns within the same Queryman session. Could be a bug caused by SATTC. Lately, we've had some SATTC derived bugs related to
the Optimizer's decision to avoid Join Elimination in cases where it properly eliminates joins if SATTC is off.
