The SQL Assistant we use, though fairly current (Ver 7.0.0.02), is at odds with desired comments in SQL code: if we wish to define a view with comments: replace view xyz -- ccc -- ddd as ... then the comments are stripped from the view definition and are not retrievable. This problem can be somewhat ameliorated by 1. coding the comments instead using the delimiters /* . */, & 2. using 'Execute Parallel' icon instead of 'Execute one statement at a time' icon However, when we wish to run several such view definitions in one go (as is common when promoting views across databases), the 'Execute Parallel' doesn't seem to be an option, as views may be dependent on previously-defined views. Is there a simple solution? Another annoying problem I encountered is that under certain circumstances (which I cannot figure out) we cannot use apostrophes within comments, like: Changes made : Prjct_Id is now source view's Cse_Prjct_Id Delete the apostrophe, and the code works!
