Hi,

In my idea, this problem has sth to do with how TD organized its varchar column in block.

If we define large varchar col, so the row size is not sure, and in future when we operate this varchar col

The block offset this row occupys will have to be changed, but TD distribute data sorted along the block, So every time varchar placed an impact on the data block, TD have to update the cylinder index and master index, That will make TD bad performance.
