This should not help the out of memory problem. Not sure what causes that.

Another thing to check is the sync rates on the new nodes and the client machine. Depending on your network it should be something like 100 non-negotiate. Of course you could have a gigabit network or different duplex requirements. In the past we have had problems with transfer rates when we let the nodes auto-neogotiate the duplex.

You should also check to make sure you have your cop entries defined properly on your client /etc/hosts file or DNS server. Did you change any ips or forget to add some? I would also make sure you can reach each and every node defined in your cop entries.
