I do not believe there is any direct way via a query however there are ways to infer the potentially available spool space. These are only
estimates at best and do not necessarily reflect the instantaneous system state. Assuming you went ahead and developed PM/API compliant code to
get at the real time system state information (like that used/displayed by PMON/TDM) still you would have the issue of it only being valid as of
the point in time when you took a look. The problem is that is a fleeting instant and the system state in the next second or two could be
dramatically different unless you have some control over what other work is currently executing or has started in the interim.
So the real question becomes, What is the intended use of this information?
