If an identity column is defined with CYCLE or with MINVALUE or MAXVALUE, does it still produce unique numbers, for a set of rows exceeding the limit? Assuming there are no limitations and it produces only unique values and defining it as UPI, does teradata internally, still checks for duplicate primekey? If yes, then there would be some performance impact.
