Response:
Yes, please check SQL reference manual for role. You can set role to active by modify user <username> as default role=<rolename>;
The person have the role changed won't see it until he/she logoff and log back on since role is an session level entity.
On the other hand, you can set all the role assigned to the user active all at the same time by modify user <username> as default
role=all ; The person will have the role available to him/her as soon as the role is granted to that person.
I don't remember the default role set to all is available in V2R5.0 though.
