Thomas Green provided some valuable information re: How to connect Teradata to Active Directory Services Interface. However, his post doesn't mention any of the instructions for populating the directory information tree with Teradata schema objects that allow mapping of directory users to Teradata users, roles, and profiles. The setting of the AuthorizationSupported property in the LDAP mechanism amy also be critical, depending on whether directory users have a username in the directory that matches a Teradata Database username. Some of the instructions for employing LDAP will depend on which version of Teradata you are running. All of this information and more is contained in the Chapters 5 and 6 of the Security Administration manual. Please read these Chapters thoroughly if you plan to employ directory authentication.
