Password Expiration does not lock a password. IT just forces them to enter in a new password. The id is probably running automated scripts
and the application does not recognize the prompt for a new password.
Now to get to your answer. The only way to notify someone that the password will expire is to have an automated script run every day that
checks for the time period since last change and sends an email. Don't forget you can have different rules for different users with the use of
Profiles. I also believe that if the ids are logging on from the mainframe you can use a startupstring, but have never tried this out. This of
course will not work for ids that are used for automated applications.
How this get you on your way.
Thanks,
