Subj:   Re: Use of Multiset for Large Table

From:   David Clough

So, if you guys were in a 'green field site' or had a major new development (as we do), how would you guys approach the situation to give the all round best solution ?

What factors would you insist upon to give relational integrity, uniqueness, and performant solution ?

Also, would this solution consider two related tables, such as ORDER to ORDERLINE, whereby we may want to define the same Primary index for both tables - for good join performance of course.

Up until this point, we've exclusively used Multiset, but we now have an opportunity to change that decision.
