Hi,
Based on tests which I did recently, the OLAP Function performed better than using a normal aggregate function with a Group By clause. However
this was based on a complex parent, child relationship and on a system with plenty of CPU headroom. The results showed a reduction of 30% in the
elapsed time, but an increase in the amount of spool space required.
I would recommend that you perform tests on the type of query you need to perform.
