By configuration file I meant a file to set up global default such as MAXSESS etc. As Fred has confirmed this file must be referenced from each JCL step using MLOAD/FEXPORT etc. I suspected this would be the case but was hoping it wouldn't be. Basically we have been asked to implement some system wide defaults and with 1500 odd utility jobs I was looking for a shortcut.

We do use procs for MLOAD/FLOAD but due to the nature of the evolution of our warehouse there are a number of different methods by which the utilities are invoked. It will be a large job to implement. Still, it pays the bills.
