Subj:   Re: ERWIN postscripts and Teradata

From:   David Clough

I'm trying to export a data model from ERWIN V4.1 to Teradata V2R5 - I'm using a postscript that generates the following code to alter each table and add RowNumber and LoadTimeStamp - the error message is included. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be grateful!

Unfortunately, Erwin still represents an early release of Teradata (Version 3) as far as I can tell, which means that certain basic DDL statements are not supported.

As far as using Postscripts to do the job, whilst possible, I agree with an earlier comment that it is the wrong approach.

Next week I'll be attending a session in London to find out about the new feature of the next version of Erwin. I'll be interested in new features that touch the Teradata DBMS. If it's anything significant then I'll report back to the Forum for information and interest.
