True; but ... The TD community is small, especially if we count those who bother to look at technical issues. I don't know whether form submission to a committee is encouraging for techies from this small community. Another thought: on the web page you have referred to, I could not find any links to the previous issues submitted to the committee nor could I find any information on the status of the issues logged or any other activities of the committee. Of course, it could be just me. Perhaps the information is available somewhere? If not, the form submission procedure might look even less attractive. When folks discuss issues on this forum they might enjoy the informality and the lack of censorship. Even if some statements are not sufficiently backed up they might still be of interest to others. Even if the statements are incorrect they can get corrected, and, again, quite a few members might benefit from the discussion (those who feel they are not likely to benefit from a particular thread can of course stop reading and skip to the next thread). The forum has the archives and threads can be read again and again by anybody who has interest in TD. I think it is in NCR's own interest to keep this informal discussion going. Even negative opinions about NCR products expressed here are infinitely better for the vendor than total indifference or disinterest. Not everything should be channeled to the vendor's site. If we talk about the style of discussions here I think it is OK if it sometimes gets informal, or rough, or provoking, as long as the dialogue remains interesting. Personal flames are of course something else. They are of little interest. In my opinion, the style of discussions on this forum is really miles ahead of some other tech forums out there. While talking about it, I'd like to mention that I've been enjoying the forum a lot so far and look forward to hearing many more different and conflicting opinions on old and new subjects in the future. I also hope that more people will opt to get out of anonymity (but I understand and respect the choice of staying anonymous). Regards, Victor
