We need to have an automated entry to the ODBC for our users (this is part of the reporting tool that they install). What is the best way to do this (without any complicated steps)? I have tried a windows registry file (.reg) file some thing like this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\myDatabase] "Driver"="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\tdata32.dll" "Description"="Data warehouse views" "DBCName"="xxx.xx.xx.xxx" "DefaultDatabase"="myDatabase" "Database"="myDatabase" "Username"="" "LastUser"="" "Password"="" "AccountString"="" "DsnOptions"="10000110000000100" "DBCName2"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName3"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName4"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName5"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName6"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName7"="xxx.xx.xx.xx" "DBCName8"="xxx.xx.xx.xx " This does put the entry on the registry but I don't see the info on the ODBC settings. I have loged in as admin. Note I have manually entered the above on ODBC and exported the same to a reg file. What have I missed? TIA
