Hi Samar, If the table is dropped and re-created the version number gets reset to 1 (if you drop an object it no longer exists in the dictionary, so the create process wouldn't know what the old version number was). The version number gets incremented by a number of DDL commands. Alter table, drop/create indexes etc. There's no history trail of changes to column definitions or event to which columns used to be part of a table definition.
