Many thanks for the series of answers on this. I couldn't find anything in the manuals that discuss this, so I guess that's what the forum is
for!
As part of the same issue, how do people normally deal with upserts in mload where there are nullable columns which are part of a multicolumn
UPI? (I don't want to debate the logic of nullable UPI columns :). The way I see it is that a null does not equal a null - therefore the upsert
will attempt to insert a new row, andwill fail because of a dupkey error.
I have a solution to this but was wondering how others would deal with it.
